Biggiola Records is a newly formed canadian label focusing on roots based music. Producer Alec Fraser is in the process of building a roster of artists who reflect excellent songwriting as well as performance and sound quality. Colleen Hodgson and theToronto acoustic trio Brokenjoe are the first to be presented with songwriter Dirk Beck and harmonica virtuoso Lance Bennett being added within the next year.

Biggiola Records would like to congratulate Jeff Healey and the Jeff Healey Blues Band for
winning seven awards at the Maple Blues Awards, held in Toronto’s Phoenix Theatre last night

His final blues recording, Mess of Blues (produced by Healey and
bassist Alec Fraser) was voted Recording of the Year.  The record was
released by Edmonton-based roots music label Stony Plain Records in
Canada, — to whom Healey was exclusively signed.  Mess of Blues was
released by the German company, Ruf Records, in Europe, the United
States and other foreign territories.

Healey won awards for Entertainer of the Year, Electric Artist of the
Year and Guitarist of the Year. Band-mates Dave Murphy ( keyboards) Al Webster ( drums) and Alec Fraser ( bass) also won in their instrument categories. While Michael Capponi won several awards as a humanitarian.

Dirk Beck is a fine Canadian songwriter with deep powerful vocals surrounded by some of the country’s finest.
